A word from the founder, Joy Singer, of Beacon of Hope Welcome! If you are a survivor of clergy sexual abuse, I want you to know that you are not alone. I am also a survivor of clergy sexual abuse. Several survivors are joining hands with me in this ministry and we are all here for you. After being violated by a clergy, you may have put your trust in church leaders only to discover that they were not on your side. They may have tried to muzzle you, crush you, and discredit you. You may be feeling righteous anger, confusion, betrayal, fear, shame, scared, and many other emotions. It is our desire that through this ministry you will be empowered. This ministry is here for you. We are here to listen with compassion. We will be featuring survivors' stories, information, and education on clergy sexual abuse. We invite you to listen to interviews related to clergy sexual abuse so you can better understand the dynamics of clergy sexual abuse and how these wolves in sheep's clothing "groom" their victims.
